The MAJESTIC HOTEL, Tramore, is delighted to announce that its Garden Room restaurant has been nominated for Best Hotel Restaurant (Munster Region) in the Restaurants Association of Ireland 2015 Irish Restaurant Awards in conjunction with The Irish Times. The Best Hotel Restaurant category recognises the overall best dining experience in a hotel restaurant, encompassing great attention to detail, a well-structured, balanced and appropriate menu, exemplary customer service and a superb atmosphere.  

Now in their seventh year, the awards are the largest and most coveted accolades in the Irish Restaurant Industry. They recognise achievement and excellence in the Restaurant and Hospitality Industry throughout the Island of Ireland in 21 categories and celebrate all aspects of the Industry from Chefs and Restaurant Managers, to Restaurants, Cafés and Gastro Pubs, to Food Producers and Cookery Schools. Over 30,000 nominations were received from the general public and members of the Restaurants Association of Ireland during the month of February and those businesses short-listed were contacted recently.

Along with Head Chef, Adrian Pierce, we have a wonderful restaurant team and are always looking for new and exciting dishes to compliment our menu. Particular care and attention is paid to quality, taste, freshness and preparation, using locally sourced produce where possible, to make sure that our food is flavourful and suits a variety of dietary needs. This combined with a friendly, attentive, efficient and professional service from our staff and a relaxed ambience ensures that guests enjoy a truly memorable dining experience.”

No stranger to accolodaes the Majestic Hotel was shortlisted as a finlist in the Best 3 Star Hotel category in the Hotel & Catering Review Gold Medal Awards in 2013. The hotel also received the coveted Taste of Ireland Award for two consecutive years in 2013 and 2014. The award is bestowed on restaurants that have been recommended and listed as good places to eat by the acclaimed Michelin star chef, food critic and writer, Paolo Tullio. In 2014 the hotel received its 4-star accreditation from Fáilte Ireland and is only one of a few hotels in the city and county of Waterford to have achieved this rating, having undergone a comprehensive process of inspection and strict criteria to meet high standards of décor, cusine, hospitality and delivery of services. More recently, the hotel was shortlisted for the 2014 Waterford Chamber Business Awards in the Tourism & Hospitality category

 The Irish Restaurant Awards are a detailed and thorough process where nominated restaurants face rigorous scrutiny from the consumer, regional judges, a mystery guest visitor, and finally the national awards judging academy at county, regional, and nationwide levels. Winners of the Munster Regional Awards will be announced at a special event to be held in the Limerick Strand Hotel on Tuesday, 14 April, before the All-Ireland Awards in Dublin on 25 May.
